LAKE TINAROO

Right outside your door are the sparkling waters of the lake, you can enjoy safe swimming, fishing and water sports, or just relax on your private pontoon at sunset and watch the water birds and look for our resident platypus.

YUNGABURRA

Enjoy the charm of yesteryear exploring this heritage listed village and it's many award winning restaurants and tea houses. Yungaburra hosts the now famous Folk Festival and holds a huge market day on the 4th saturday of each month.

CURTAIN FIG TREE

This is the most spectacular and unusual tree on the tablelands and the most visited tree in the world with 600,000 plus visitors a year

MT HYPIPAMEE CRATER

This huge hole in the ground is a geological oddity. Commonly referred to as a volcanic pipe, the pipe has a diameter of 61m and has been explored to a depth of 140m where it still hasent lost any of it's dimensions.

YUNGABURRA MARKETS

Held on the fourth Saturday of each month. This is the biggest and most popular market on the tableland.

TWIN KAURI PINES

On the lakes edge at lake barrine stand these two exceptionally large Kauri Pines. These trees are considered to be 1000 years old.

LAKE BARRINE

10 klms. from Yungaburra, Barrine is a clear blue lake surrounded by rainforest, with a scenic, well defined walking track around the perimeter. Facilities include , teahouse, lake cruises, gift shop, toilets, picnic shelter.

LAKE EACHAM

Geologically Eacham is just like Lake Barrine. It also has a rainforest walk around it's perimeter. Facilities include, BBQ, picnic areas, toilets.

MALANDA HOTEL

Built in 1911 by the English family and still owned by their descendants. The hotel is the biggest timber structure in the southern hemisphere. It features beautiful local timbers inside.

MAJESTIC THEATRE MALANDA

The Majestic Theatre was opened in 1929 and not much has changed over the years, sit in the original deck-chairs. It is the oldest movie theatre in Australia still in use today.

WATER FALLS CIRCUIT

30mins from Yungaburra is a circuit of 6 waterfalls in a 17 klm. drive, these include Milla Milla falls, Ellijaa falls, Zillie falls, Mungalli falls, Souita falls, Pepina falls.
